The London-Land's End Cycle Route was created after six years of professional surveying by bicycle in southern England on behalf of the Department for Transport (Cycling England) and Sustrans. We cycled in all areas as displayed on this website and decided to develop the London-Land's End Route-concept independently. The route provides a great variation of landscapes (both rural and urban), the highest number of famous English landmarks on the way and the very best cycle routes of southern England. Most important, we were able to bring all together into one continuous attractive and continuous traffic-calmed route; a guarantee for a great cycling holiday experience. Also, with 60 railway stations on the way and nearby main travel corridors, it is easy to cycle short sections of the route.
All our knowledge of this route is bundled into one pannier pocket guide, featuring 940 miles (1200 km) of routes, 140 maps (different scales for urban and rural areas), 500 listed facilities (such as bike repair shops, rural pubs, Bed & Breakfasts, campsites, hostels and bunk houses), detailed directions and cycling-focused visitor information with local knowledge all the way. 164 full-colour pages ensure your cycling appetite will build up well before your holiday is actually due! Read all about it on our designated website. If you order the book via one of our own websites you receive GPS-tracks of all routes in the book for free!
